Welcome to Seattle Pet Collective!
I’m Marika, the founder and host of the Seattle Pet Collective podcast, and owner of Dirtie Dog Photography, a pet photography business specializing in capturing the story of animals for the people who love them.
This adventure has started as a result of the amazing people and animals I have had the pleasure of meeting over the past few years as a pet photographer. Seattle loves animals. Did you know that there are more dogs than children, and more cats than dogs here in the city? We. Love. Animals.
The idea behind Seattle Pet Collective is to create a space for people in the pet community to share their stories so that we can create new and/or deeper connections with one another. I love collaboration and community, so if sharing these stories creates more opportunities for these great people to do more incredible work that makes a difference in our world, then I will be SO HAPPY.
I’ll go ahead and warn you that things might get emotional, and they might get loud and silly. I laugh a lot, I cry easily and most of all I am so very passionate about the power of stories. I love having conversations with people who are passionate about the work they do, and helping them to get the word out about the great things they are doing makes me really excited.
These are real conversations with real people doing great things for animals here in Seattle. If you or someone you know has a great story, or wants to be a part of sharing great stories, please get in touch so we can see about starting a conversation.
Thank you so much for listening, and I can’t wait to see what we can create together!
